My own worst enemy

You know those people who “live in the moment”? Well, I am not one of those people. I have come to the realization that people with the drive for success, and the determination to do it are “future seekers” and I am one of them. I work a full time job, run a photography business on the side, and am attempting to raise a beautiful little girl and maintain a marriage. This is tough, and you know what would make it less tough, and make me happy? Not working that full time job,  staying at home with my little girl, and running my household and my business from home.tallahassee photography

So, how do you do that? With hard work and dedication.

But where do you dedicate your time right now? To my family.

So when do you have time to push your business forward? A brief period at night after the dishes are done, the baby is in bed, and the pumping is complete.

This is my life. I am not happy where I stand today, because it’s not the future. To live in the present is to be happy with what you have right now, and I am not. Does this make me depressed and unhappy? No! This just makes me a driven entrepreneur. It makes me a determined self starter. It makes my mind crazy with thoughts of the next step and what more I can do. It makes me crazy!

So, the million dollar question is, when I get there, will I be happy? Will I live in the moment? Will I stop driving myself mad?

I sure hope so, but we shall see… We shall see.
