Fashion Friday | Spring Trends

This weekend the time changes. And I AM SO EXCITED!!!! This marks the beginning of Spring down in the south, which means I can dust off my flip flops, get a spray tan, and start wearing shorts again! Let’s talk about some trends for the upcoming season, so we can spruce up our closet.

Spring Trends for 2015

New York, London, Paris all just wrapped up Fashion Week, (for fall, of course), so in the spirit of all things fashion, we are going to check out some great spring trends starting with Shirtdresses. I love shirtdresses, and always have. It’s a bit throwback from the ’70’s (you will see this as a common theme) when women were heading into the workforce, liberated and fierce! Now it’s accented with belted waists, high slits, and flattering lines.

Spring Trends 2015The hottest color on the runway for Spring was… Yellow! (’70’s once again!) This hue can come in mustard, saffron, or marigold, and with all the different shades, you’re sure to find one that looks great with your skin tone! Check out this pretty little number from Diane von Furstenberg for her Spring RTW line:

Ok, so now I don’t need to convince you that the ’70’s are back full swing, right? Bye bye plaid, and hello gingham! Check out some cute ways to rock this print. (And it’s a shirtdress, too!)

While black and white color blocking is not a new trend, the geometric shapes and color blocking put a new spin to an old classic. Check out this beauty from Victoria Beckham. (And just google Balmain. Holy long pants, batman. But they are so posh!)

And on the same note- head to toe white is HUGE! We are cleaning it up this year, removing the neon, and starting with a blank slate. Check out this look:af7fb5436f3739adba584547535d2785

So, let’s go shopping!
