Fashion Friday | HBD Victoria Beckham!

A style icon. Can we all agree? She coined the boyfriend ripped jean with pointy toe stiletto look, and makes any LBD a head turner. Plus it’s her 41st birthday today, so let’s take a look back at how our beloved Posh Spice has evolved.

Fashion Friday | From Spice to Beckham, but still so Posh

1998: The Era of the Spice Girls. Running around in black track pants and a match black triangle sports bra, she was still Victoria Adams. This was the first time an all girl band was featured on the cover of Vogue. You all knew and loved her then as a Spice Girl (tell me you don’t know the words to at least 1 song. Zigazig ahhhhhh!)

January 1998: She’s engaged! (And wearing that signature little black dress that she wears so well!) After only 1 year of dating, David (le sigh) got down on one knee and proposed. She was rocking that turtle neck and crucifix, like only Posh can do.

July 1999: I now pronounce you hot ass husband and hot ass wife. Yes. The two hottest people in the world got married, with their adorable baby boy, Russel in tow. For the reception, they changed into matching purple outfits, custom made by Antonio Berardi. Um… it was the ’90’s. ‘Nuff said.

December 2003: She softened up her look with some highlights and cowboy boots for her appearance on TRL. After her stint with the Spice Girls, she moved on to a very short solo career. She was a good singer, sure. But an even better fashionista! Amiright?

June 2006: No more singing. Simply a wife of the captain of the English football team. And a style icon. This is the turning point where she really starts to hone in on her style. Note the giant (and drool worthy) Hermes bag she is “toting” along to the tournament.

January 2007: After a hectic Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2006 with BFF Katie Holmes, she started to hone in on her sophisticated style that is now the true “Victoria Beckham” look. She cut off her long locks for her classic signature bob, and started donning a more monochromatic look. Here she visits the opening of the new Armani store, wearing, of course, Armani.

February 2007: Who can forget this stunning Azzedine Alaia gown that she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscars party in 2007? The boat neck, low back dress accessorized with the biggest emeralds I’ve ever seen is just simply elegant. Need I say more?

June 2007: It’s like… Woah. There’s no doubt that this Roberto Cavalli corset is not to die for, but this quite the extreme look for our sophisticated spice, and it was not taken well by the public. Blond hair, corset, legs for days. This was not a look we were quite ready for. (But I love that Chanel bolero!!!)

February 2008: (I just skipped over the blond phase, ok?) Back to brunette and looking amazing at New York Fashion Week in this Donna Karan dress and Versace heels. I don’t know many brunettes that can pull of this much orange. (But I just love her monochromatic-ness!)

February 2009: As the face of Emporio Armani, Mrs. Hot Beckham poses for editorials in all the biggest name magazines, and looks absolutely stunning. Those abs. I die.

September 2010: And how does she dress down? In oversized sweaters, cutoff jeans and Louboutins, of course!

July 2011: And then she reminded us that she is human, and posted a picture of her 4th baby, Harper, on Facebook. Aw!

March 2012: And then this happened. Please take a moment to appreciate the gorgeousness.

August 2012: And dammit. She even looks hot in glasses.

July 2013: I know I always wear my lingerie to tennis matches. Seriously. They would kick me out if I wore that. Because I would. I would wear that Louis Vuitton dress errrrrrywhere.

May 2014: Looking stellar in her own design at the Met Ball, paired with an all-white tuxed out David. Again, seriously? Hottest couple ever. (And I LOVE this shot. Seriously, the photographer here slayed this composition!)

And just this past Tuesday, she gathered with friends and family to debut her new spring line at Barney’s.
